Located in a former farm supply depot the pub continues this fine tradition replenishing and refreshing locals and travellers alike. The Merchant of Matamata proudly serves Good George craft beer and cider which is brewed locally in the region at their brewery in nearby Hamilton. Their brews are delivered fresh to the pub from the brewery and includes a range of enjoyable, easy to drink beers and ciders and a rotating range of interesting specialty brews.
OUR BEER
Beer shouldn't be bland, full of chemicals, mass produced and boring. Nor should it be hard, pretentious or scary. Exploring and drinking beer should be enjoyable, simple and really rewarding.
