An Important Message For Hauraki Rail Trail Users

Section A of the Hauraki Rail Trail is CLOSED.  There have been 3 cases reported of COVID-19 near Kaiaua.

In light of this news together with existing Trail surface damage between Waitakaruru and Kopu, and additional works due to commence between Kopu and Pipiroa, this section of Trail is now closed until further notice.

Case one has been in the Kaiaua area since the 8th September, and we have had a number of cyclists and walkers near Kaiaua during this time.

We have not been identified as a place of interest, however we recommend to our cyclists and pedestrians that may have been on this section of trail since 8 September, that if they are feeling unwell they should get tested and stay at home until they know the results.

Updates will be posted on our Website and Facebook as more information becomes available.

Thank you.
