Shorebird Cycles is in the friendly seaside village of Kaiaua - the start of the Hauraki Rail Trail. Centrally located at 933 East Coast Road, between the gas station and Bayview Hotel, we are a family run business with a love of travel, culture, nature and a 35 year connection with this unique environment we reside in.
As cycling enthusiasts, we have invested in quality, latest fit for purpose Merida e-bikes and Marin mountain bikes. For comfort, Serfas gel padded seats and Zefal carrier bags are available, and for safety, we offer high visibility Bell helmets, with first aid and puncture / tool kits supplied.
As every rider has different requirements and interests, Shorebird Cycles offer everything from a simple half day discovery hire, to an all inclusive multi-day hire, with shuttle and luggage services. Whether it's for business or leisure, let us know what kind of experience you're seeking and we'll do our best to make it happen.
The Shorebird Coast is not only a wildlife area of international importance, it is surrounded by the Hunua Ranges and several regional parks with beautiful bush walks and secluded beaches. The Coast is also rich in history, scattered with galleries, great food and boutique accommodation, including the thermal springs at the Miranda Holiday Park.
