Every week for 6 weeks a short Video will be Posted on the Hauraki Rail Trail Facebook Page. Each Video will include 3 Questions for Entrants to answer. You are only required to enter once, however you can raise your chances of winning by entering every week!
The Quiz Entry Forms for the Competition can be found in the Competition Banner on the Hauraki Rail Trail website. Each week on Friday there will be a new Video and 3 new Questions on Facebook. All the Answers can be found with a little research on the Hauraki Rail Trail website.
To be eligible to win Entrants must correctly answer three Questions in one of the six weekly draws. All weekly correct entries will go into a draw for a Hauraki Rail Trail Supporter Pack.
All correct entries will go into the draw to win the major prize of the Avanti e-Bike valued at $4,999. Only one entry per person is permitted each week for this Competition.
Entry into the Be in to Win an e-bike Competition is open to anyone residing in New Zealand, with the Competition commencing on 29 October 2021.
The Competition closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 12 December 2021. All entries will go into a Prize draw where one Prize winner will be selected. The Prize draw will be held at 1.00pm on Monday 13 December 2021, with the winner notified via email or by telephone, and their name will be published on the Hauraki Rail Trail and JollyBikes Facebook Pages. When submitting your entry you will need to Read and Accept the Terms & Conditions on the form.
The Prize must be claimed by 5pm on Friday 14 January 2022, by collection at JollyBikes at 96 Richmond Street, Thames.

1 Entry into the “Be in to Win an e- bike” competition (the “Competition”) is open to anyone residing in New Zealand.
2 The Promoters are the Hauraki Rail Trail Charitable Trust and JollyBikes Ltd (the Promoters).
3 The employees (or immediate family of employees) of the Promoters, and the agencies associated with this Competition are not eligible to enter.
4 To be eligible to win entrants must correctly answer three questions in one of the six weekly draws.
5 All weekly correct entries will go into a draw for a Hauraki Rail Trail Supporter Pack.
6 All correct entries will go into the draw to win the major prize of the Avanti e-Bike valued at $4,999.
7 Incomplete entries or those, which, in the opinion of the Promoters, (i) contain any objectionable content or profanity, or (ii) are potentially insulting or inflammatory, will be ineligible to win the Prize.
8 It is the entrant’s responsibility to inform the Promoters if their contact details change.
9 Only one entry per person is permitted each week for this Competition. If the Promoters reasonably believe an entrant has entered more than once, the Promoters may disqualify that entrant without notice.
10 There is one major Prize consisting of an e-bike valued at $4,999NZD (including GST) from JollyBikes, Richmond Street, Thames “the Major Prize”.
11 The Major Prize value is correct at time of printing but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the Major Prize. The Major Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
12 The Promoters will not be liable for any consequential losses or additional costs incurred and accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by the winner or any other party if the Major Prize is unavailable for any reason.
13 The cost of picking up the e-bike is solely the responsibility of the winner. The Promoters are not liable for any costs to collect the bike from Thames or elsewhere.
14 The Competition closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 12 December 2021.
15 All entries will go into a Prize draw, when one Prize winner will be selected.
16 The Prize Draw will be held at 1.00pm on Monday 13 December 2021 at JollyBikes, Richmond Street, Thames. If COVID-19 restrictions affect the ability to Draw at the JollyBikes business site, then the Promoters reserve the right to move the Draw to an online environment. If this occurs, notification will be placed on the Hauraki Rail Trail website at 9.00am on the morning of the Draw, advising of any change in Draw location.
17 The Prize winner will be notified through email or by telephone, and their name will be published on the Promoter's Facebook Page.
18 If a Prize winner cannot be contacted within a period of 48 hours from the Prize draw time, and where attempts to contact the winner fail (when they cannot be contacted by telephone after five attempts), then the Major Prize will be forfeited, no substitute Major Prize will be offered in lieu of the Major Prize. A re-draw will occur under the same conditions.
19 All personal details provided to participate in this Competition will be held and used by the Promoter for the purpose of this Competition.
20 By entering the Competition, you are giving your permission to Hauraki Rail Trail Charitable Trust and JollyBikes Ltd (the Promoters) to add your email address to their respective databases.
21 By entering the Competition, you consent to the Promoters publishing your name and subsequent photo (if any) for publicity and promotion purposes, without compensation. Personal details on the entry form will not be disclosed to any other third party.
22 The Prize must be claimed by 5pm on Friday 14 January 2022, by collection at JollyBikes (96 Richmond Street, Thames). If the Prize is not claimed by the date specified, the Prize will be forfeited, with the exception of COVID-19 travel restrictions making the Winner unable to travel outside of a lock-down zone.
23 If requested, the Major Prize winner must provide the Promoters with proof of identity, residency and age. In the event that the Major Prize winner cannot provide suitable proof, the Prize will be forfeited and no substitute will be offered.
24 If a Major Prize winner is under the age of 16 years the Major Prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent/guardian on their behalf. The Promoters may require the Major Prize winner under the age of 16 years to be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian when collecting the Prize.
25 The Promoters reserves the right to at any time cancel or vary the Competition or to cancel or vary the award of the Major Prize including circumstances where in the Promoter’s opinion: a) a Major Prize winner does not satisfy the Competition entry requirements; or b) the Promoters cannot conduct the Competition or award the Major Prize for any reason beyond its control - i.e. COVID-19 restrictions.
26 In the event that the Promoters cancel or varies the Competition or varies or withdraws the Major Prize it shall not: a) be liable to any person for any loss or damage (including loss or damage caused by any negligence) arising out of, or in connection with, such cancellation, variation or withdrawal; or b) be required to conduct the Competition at any other time.
27 The Promotors will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury sustained through participation in this Competition or as a result of using the Major Prize.
28 All decisions of the Promoters are at their complete discretion and are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
29 The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook or any other outside media.
