A Tripple Whammy For The Hauraki Coromandel Business Awards

The Hauraki Coromandel Business Awards are an acknowledgement of excellence in all sectors of business within the Hauraki and Thames-Coromandel Districts.

The Awards reward business excellence and showcase to the country what our Districts have to offer. Businesses from within the Hauraki District Council and Thames Coromandel District Council areas are eligible to enter.

The Hauraki Rail Trail Charitable Trust is thrilled to learn that three Official Partners have been nominated for Awards.

Gastronomics Restaurant & Bar

Gastronomics Restaurant Café & Bar offers great dining in comfort and style, just off the Hauraki Rail Trail in the heart of Thames. With its spacious indoor seating, and outdoor area for those who enjoy outside dining, it's the perfect destination to relax and unwind following a day on the trail.

The Hospitality Category recognises businesses demonstrating excellence in the hospitality industry, in areas such as accommodation and dining.

Historical Maritime Park & Museum Paeroa

Paeroa's Historical Martime Park was once New Zealand’s most inland port, and the Museum has significant links dating back to pre-European settlement and the arrival of Captain James Cook in 1769 aboard HMS Endeavour.

Recent developments have included an upgrade of Wharf St in Paeroa, which links to the new purpose-built community jetty on the Ohinemuri River. There are three new pontoons along with a refurbished riverboat which transport visitors and their bikes from the Park along the Ohinemuri River into Paeroa.

The Tourism Category recognises businesses that excel in delivering quality experiences in the industry including activities, transport, and more.

Since opening their doors at the end of 2019, they have achieved awards at every competition entered, from the World Spirits Awards in San Francisco to the highly prestigious International Wine and Spirits Awards in London. In 2020, they won Gold with their limited art edition gin ‘The Cuckoo’ at the New Zealand Spirits Awards.

The Manufacturing & Trade Category recognises the use of effective methodologies and techniques focusing on improvements in quality, cost, production, physical waste reduction, customer service and safety.

The Gala Awards ceremony will be held at the Grand Mercure Puka Park, Pauanui on the 28 October, when the winners will be announced. We wish everyone the very best of luck!
