Orokawa Bay Retreat is a hilltop sanctuary with panoramic views across the ocean. A private retreat for couples or a small group, whether one bedroom or all four rooms are booked, guests enjoy private use of the entire retreat.
Custom-designed with comfort in mind, the retreat offers an open plan living, dining and kitchen area flowing out onto the broad deck and incredible outdoor hot tub.
The Retreat accommodates up to eight adults, and has four rooms, each with an ensuite. Bedrooms are configured with either a Super King bed or two King Singles, and one room is fully accessible.
The Retreat is self-catered, however offers a full kitchen stocked with basics as well as delectable breakfast supplies for your first morning. Experiences, such as an in-house chef, spa treatments, or golf can be arranged in advance.
Just two hours’ drive from Auckland and 90 minutes from Hamilton, the Retreat is centrally located. The Waihi leg of the Hauraki Rail Trail is just a 10 minute drive away, so guests can access the trail quickly. We can also arrange for bike hire and transport, should guests require this service.
If you’re looking for more fun after cycling, with close proximity to Tauranga, the Coromandel, as well as historic Waihi and stunning Waihi Beach, guests are spoilt for choice and adventure!
