The Pūkorokoro Miranda Shorebird Centre offers comfortable and inexpensive accommodation in either self contained units, a bunk room, or bunk dormitories with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. The Shorebird Centre also provides a spacious lounge and outdoor deck to rest and unwind with excellent views across to the Coromandel Ranges.
All rooms have comfortable mattresses, covers, pillows and pillow slips however you do need to bring your own bedding. If you are travelling light, you can hire bedding upon request.
You will also need to bring your own food, however Kaiaua is just a 5 minute drive north and has a small grocery shop, an excellent Fish & Chip shop, a good Hotel which serves good pub fare and a Gas Station.
